Literature Text

Gold and silver, like sunshine on fresh snow
Eyes of ice blue and cerulean sky
What tomorrow will bring, she does not know
Late is the hour, fateful time draws nigh
Goddess of the sun, shines in candlelight
Prince of snow and ice, bathed in ray of moon
Two white-clad figures, angels in the night
Cast down to earth, but he's heaven-bound soon
Sun's ray of light brings the night to a close
He knows it's their last, but says not a word
No time for goodbyes, but they don't need those
It'd just hurt more, silent tears gone unheard.

Spread your wings, angel, try your best to fly
But you'll ne'er get there, your heaven's a lie.
I chose to forgo punctuation. 'Cause it was just extra credit for English class, so who gives a crap? Although I admit it is much more noticable when typed. =/

Anyways, this is a FAN SONNET. OH EM GEE.
Ichimaru Gin/Matsumoto Rangiku, of Bleach, of course. OTP. Did you know Bleach airs on Thursdays now so I'll have to wait until Friday for any prayer of seeing the subbed version? Oh, blazes.

So it's supposed to be sad, but I wrote this at some obscene morning hour in my bed, which seems to be where I write all creative pieces for English classes. It's a strange thing, that. And I only ever write poetry for English class. I just cannot write it for myself.

So, in case you don't know Bleach, I'm about to SPOIL some of it for you. :D

Gin found Matsumoto starving in Rukongai, and saved her. They became friends, yadda yadda and went to the Shinigami Academy together, became Shinigami, eventually found their ways to two of the highest positions in the Gotei 13 (13 Protection Squads). Gin was first Aizen Sousuke's Vice-Captain in the 5th Division, but became the 3rd Division Captain at some point. Matsumoto is Vice-Captain of the 10th Division under Hitsugaya Toshirou, although that last bit is kind of irrelevant to what I'm telling you. So it turns out that Aizen hasn't actually died, like everyone thinks he has, but he likes to screw with people's minds and is actualy controlling Soul Society's (where all this takes place) law system, Room 46. So when Rukia's supposed to be executed in Ep. 62, Aizen shows up at Soukyoku hill and's like "Bitch, there's something in your soul I want, so I'mma pull it out", and Gin appears and the shinigami are like WTF NOOOO WE HAVE CAPTAIN-LEVEL TRAITORS WHYYY and Aizen's like, "Gin, kill this bitch" and Gin goes to do it and Byakuya comes and gets Shinsou'd (although now I am getting off-topic) but all the captains come and Aizen and Gin and Tousen (no one was expecting him!) go to escape in the negación, but Rangiku's got her zanpakutou to Gin when the light comes down. Naturally, she lets go, as the light beam is an impenetrable world and it is impossible for her to hold on, and Gin says "This is a little unfortunate. If only you had help onto me a bit longer... Good-bye, Rangiku. I'm sorry." [And she gets depressed and even gets drunk with Kira (Gin's Vice-Captain) and Hitsugaya (her own Captain).]

Even though I'm not a hopeless romantic, that scene always gets me. I've watched it so many times. Maybe it's the looks on Gin's face -- he's not smiling, like he always is; his eyes don't have that customary mischievous curve; his eyebrows are tilted upwards, showing genuine concern.

So, uhm, enjoy. =) Agh, I can hardly smile anymore. I just want to cry for them, even though they are fictional. I don't care.
